Report on Salary Negotiations-18 MAY 2012.
% Increase
The employer’s offer of CPI (5.9%) is not the real increase it is based on the average CPI for the fiscal of 2011/2012
An increase is what is added to CPI that is 5.9% + the unknown (the unknown is the wage increase). We have seen no movement by the employer.
Multi term agreement
The 2 & 3 year is CPI and there is no increase. SAPU will not be bound to a “No –Growth increase.
Housing / GEHS
The time frame of 30 September 2012 as an end date of the Housing allowance. The GEHS has not yet reached a development stage (the actual building of homes) neither is there clarity on current home owner who receive an allowance. Much to be done in GEHS Technical Working Committee.
