  • Is the union political affiliated?

    No, the union is not affiliated to any political party but not apolitical.


    SAPU is a multi-ideological organization which embraces people from all different political formation. As a result, we are compelled to be an a-political party. Embrace democratic values that are enshrined in our country's Constitution

  • Ho much is the monthly membership fee?

    Membership subscription fees are R100-00 a month and paid up members enjoy among other benefits FREE funeral cover from our social responsibility partner SILILANABO.

  • What are the benefits?

    Free professional advice from our legal team.

    Free representation in disciplinary harings.

    Free representation in grievance procedure and arbitrations.

    Collective Bargaining (SSSBC & PSCBC)

    Free Union Post on a bi-monthly basis as your information paper.

  • How far are you with the negotiations?

    We are in conciliation 

  • What is the Legal cover amount?

    Legal costs (including disbursements) up to R100 000.00 per year is covered, provided that a matter

    that is not finalised in a particular calendar year does not accrue a new budget in the ensuing year(s).
